Tell Your Daddy!

“This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’

Jeremiah 33: 2-3 (The Message)

“Ooooh, I’m going to tell my daddy!” Have you ever heard that phrase? Maybe you’ve said it after being offended or picked on by the neighborhood kids, or maybe you just heard someone else say it.

Either way, for many people, it was effective. Somehow daddy would fix it. Somehow daddy would take care of it, or at least daddy would provide some wisdom or comfort.

Can I tell you that your heavenly father wants to do the same thing? The issue is that we aren’t telling Him. We are telling our friends, our coworkers, our family, and our church leaders, but we are not bringing our cares to the one who can actually do something about it.

Frustrated with your spouse? Tell your daddy.

Not sure how things are going to work out? Tell your daddy.

Have you lost hope? Tell your daddy.

Is there distance between you and your spouse? Tell your daddy.

Are you not as intimate as you once were? Tell your daddy.

Are you hurt and angry? Tell your daddy.

We have to start telling our daddy - FIRST. Our generation has become so focused on SELF (self-esteem, self-care, self-awareness, etc) that we think we have to handle everything by ourselves, but that is not the case. God is waiting to fight on your behalf. He is waiting to send angels on assignment just for you. He is waiting to provide the answers that you need.

He is waiting for you to tell Him all about it!

I don’t know what your marriage is facing right now. I’m not sure what issues you have in life, but I know that God has the answers that you need. He says in our verse for today that if you call out to Him, He will answer. Not only will He answer, but He will show you things you didn’t even know; ways you haven’t even considered.

Sister, you may feel that life is bullying you, but I need you to know that God knows how to handle every bully that you face. You just need to let Him know what is going on. Tell your daddy!
